We operate as a “turnkey” company comprising of talented designers who work with clients and trade professionals (architects, builders, and designers), a team of experienced engineers, and meticulous project managers. We’re a single source for consultation, design services, project management, installation/construction services, and customer service.

Design Engineering

Understanding client requirements is the first step in creating a successful project. At the heart of this process is the design engineering team that interacts with our sales staff to ensure accurate representation of the client requirement in addition to the following responsibilities:

  • Creates project proposals including equipment and labor in accordance with the provided budgetary, functional, and aesthetic requirements.
  • Performs front end system engineering while specifying equipment to minimize change orders late in the project due to poor or incomplete designs.
  • Creates floor plan views with our unique icon set to illustrate device locations throughout the property.
  • Provides product specifications, equipment space, ventilation and electrical requirements as needed on each project.
  • Provides design and construction drawings for dedicated purpose media room environments including intricate site line, elevation, plan, detailed room and section views, and construction specifications.
  • Responsible for selecting product brands and lines, managing our internal product and design databases.
  • Supports internal design and project management staff with engineering support and data.

Project Management
Each project is assigned a project manager that coordinates and manages the installation schedule and budgets in addition to coordinating site evaluations and determining exact equipment and device locations. Having one person as the contact for the home owner, architect, general contractor, and other trade professionals minimizes the risk of miscommunication, installation error and costly overages.

Documentation
Ultimate Control provides comprehensive, construction-ready documentation packages that effectively represent space planning, electrical requirements, ventilation needs, and elevation details. We have developed a unique method of combining traditional schematics with detailed map diagrams of the entire integration system. We will provide complete specifications for all equipment in each system, including system diagrams and interconnect schematics. Every system is fully documented for future reference.

Production Engineering

The final step of the design process belongs to the Production Engineering Group. They’re the production line that hand assembles and tests the equipment for each and every project. Other responsibilities include:

  • Performing final engineering of all low-voltage systems including detailed elevation drawing views, schematic/interconnect drawings, and rack elevations.
  • Oversight of dedicated purpose media/theatre room design and construction.
  • Assembly and burn-in of racks and rack-mounted equipment.
  • Creation of accurate project change orders to reflect additions and changes while maintaining the integrity of the complete project files and related documentation.
  • Control and management of all drawings and design documentation for active projects.
  • Site visits are done in conjunction with the project managers at key milestones for on-site engineering, detail verification, and quality control.
  • Creation of as-built drawing sets representing the final design.
